Information On Whitemarsh Memorial Park

Whitemarsh Memorial Park is a historical cemetery located in Ambler. Its location on 160 acres of flat land with well-maintained landscaping, a wide variety of trees, and seasonal flowers make it a beautiful resting place. As you walk through the doors, you'll see a beautiful fountain surrounded by a tree-lined road. This road leads to the 174-foot tall Tower of Chimes and mausoleum. These structures are the centerpieces of the park and are truly stunning pieces of architecture.

You'll have a variety of options for internment and memorials, and you'll be sure to find something that suits your loved one's spirit. Some of these choices include:

  • Several cremation options - specialized cremation garden, including cremation niches, columbariums, and memorial benches
  • In-ground burial and inurnment
  • Above-ground community mausoleum
  • Private mausoleum entombment
  • Burials in a forest environment
  • Private walled or gated estates
  • Companion crypt (two interments or entombments side-by-side)

If you're looking for a compassionate and respectful resting place for a loved one who recently passed away, our Montgomery County personal injury lawyers think Whitemarsh Memorial Park is a fine choice.

History Of Whitemarsh Memorial Park

Whitemarsh Memorial Park has been around since 1928 and was originally designed with the concept of only flat markers. This was intended to give the cemetery a park-like appearance.  A French architect named Paul Phillipe Chet assisted with most of the park's structures, including the entrance fountain, mall boulevards, and the Tower of Chimes. As of 2010, more than 40,000 burials and numerous burials, mausoleum and cremation choices have been conducted here.

Dignity Memorials & Veterans

Whitemarsh is Dignity Memorial provider, who serves more military veterans than any other funeral service provider in the U.S. This makes Whitemarsh an ideal place to pay your last respects to your fallen loved one. Their services for veterans are respectful and dignified, and pay the proper attention to the sacrifices these brave men and women have made.

Some of the features that make Whitemarsh a good choice for a veteran's funeral include:

  • Veterans' burial benefits like special pricing for war veterans and American Legion
  • Military funeral honors
  • Programs like the Dignity Memorial Vietnam Wall and the Dignity Memorial Homeless Veterans Burial Program
  • Veterans Planning Guide
  • Seminars for VFW and American Legion members

Additionally, the Dignity Memorial network acts as the Founding Community Partner for the We Honor Veterans program.

More Than A Cemetary

Whitemarsh Memorial Park may be worth a visit even if you're not there for a funeral. The grounds are picturesque and highlighted by some beautiful doors, towers, and other architecture. A good place for artists or photographers to visit for inspiration. While it may function as a cemetery, its status as a Memorial Park also makes it a great place to spend time for the living as well.

MEET OUR MANAGING PARTNER: BRIAN MITTMAN

“I have been working since I was 14. I have probably held at least two dozen different jobs and I’ve seen people injured and hurt. One of the reasons I got involved with disability law is that I have a very good family friend who has been disabled his entire life, and I’ve seen how he’s struggled in order to keep working and try to work. When I was presented with the opportunity to get involved with what’s called “disability law,” I was really thrilled to be able to not only practice being an attorney, but helping other people who really need to know things about what their choices are, what they can do, and what their future may hold.

I am originally from Maple Glen, PA and is a life-long Eagles fan.

I have focused on helping individuals with their workers’ compensation, social security disability and long-term disability claims, as well as obtaining financial security for individuals who have had accidents.

As part of helping workers’ and their families, I have also been active in teaching continuing legal education courses to other attorneys, provide free seminars and webinars to the public on how to protect their rights, and I am active in various organizations such as the National Organization of Social Security Claims Representatives, the Injured Workers’ Bar Association and the Workers’ Injury Law & Advocacy Group.”
