ARE YOUR READY TO GET YOUR LIFE BACK?

Philadelphia's Best Dog Parks

Philadelphia is a great city for dogs and their owners. The city features dog parks in nearly every neighborhood, so even if you don't have a backyard, you can still find a place for your dog to get much-needed exercise and social interaction with other canines. Our Philadelphia personal injury lawyers enjoy the following city dog parks;

Columbus Square Dog Park

This fenced-in dog park in South Philly features stumps for your dogs to run, jump, and play on. A great place to let your furry family member burn some energy and play with other dogs from throughout the city. The dog park area is a gravel square with tree stumps and picnic tables for dog owners. This park is best for friendly dogs and friendly owners, as community involvement is strongly encouraged here. Last year, a group of park organizers even organized two pool parties. If you and your dog would like to enjoy the park with smaller crowds, we'd suggest visiting between 10 a.m. and noon or after 8 p.m.

Schuylkill River Park Dog Run

Located in Fitler Square at 25th and Spruce streets, the Schuylkill River Park Dog Run is the fanciest dog park in the city. It features a large synthetic grass courtyard on the shores of the Schuylkill River, a $14,000 drinking fountain, and separate sections for small and large dogs. If you want to keep your dog's paws clean, this is a great choice, as the synthetic grass keeps the mud away. Be aware that the park is near train tracks, and trains frequently pass by with horns blaring. If your dog is easily scared, this might not be the best choice for you.

Seger Park Dog Run

Washington Square West's Seger Park is home to a 10,000 square-foot fenced-in dog run. This park is regularly maintained and upgraded to keep everything operating smoothly, and the park association replaces the wood chips here once or twice per year. This is one of the friendliest dog parks in the city. Both small and large dogs will feel comfortable here, and the regular owners who attend Seger Park are always approachable and always happy to give advice on park etiquette or a referral to a reliable dog-walker.

Mario Lanza Dog Park

Located in Queen Village at 2nd and Catherine streets, Mario Lanza Dog Park is a small, 150-by-40 foot gravel dog run inside of a larger park. A hose is provided, but you'll need to bring your own doggie bags. The park also recently installed a treat dispenser. A park that's accessible for dogs of all size, featuring regular social events like the monthly Sunday cleanup (with tools and snacks provided) and summer "Yappy Hours" at nearby pet-friendly restaurants.

Market Street Dog Run

The Market Street Dog Run offers some of the best views in the city. Take a break from playing with your furry loved one and relax on the north-facing benches while taking in panoramic views of the iconic Ben Franklin Bridge and boats traveling down the Delaware River. This dog run is narrow, so it's best-suited for small and medium-sized dogs.

MEET OUR MANAGING PARTNER: BRIAN MITTMAN

“I have been working since I was 14. I have probably held at least two dozen different jobs and I’ve seen people injured and hurt. One of the reasons I got involved with disability law is that I have a very good family friend who has been disabled his entire life, and I’ve seen how he’s struggled in order to keep working and try to work. When I was presented with the opportunity to get involved with what’s called “disability law,” I was really thrilled to be able to not only practice being an attorney, but helping other people who really need to know things about what their choices are, what they can do, and what their future may hold.

I am originally from Maple Glen, PA and is a life-long Eagles fan.

I have focused on helping individuals with their workers’ compensation, social security disability and long-term disability claims, as well as obtaining financial security for individuals who have had accidents.

As part of helping workers’ and their families, I have also been active in teaching continuing legal education courses to other attorneys, provide free seminars and webinars to the public on how to protect their rights, and I am active in various organizations such as the National Organization of Social Security Claims Representatives, the Injured Workers’ Bar Association and the Workers’ Injury Law & Advocacy Group.”
