Dump Truck Overturns In Southwest Philadelphia

Police and firefighters were called to the scene after an 18-wheel dump truck overturned in Southwest Philadelphia on Monday, January 8. The accident happened around 1:30 p.m. at the intersection of Lindbergh Boulevard and Island Avenue.

It is still unclear how the accident occurred, and there has been no information released regarding potential injuries from the accident.

Northbound traffic on Lindbergh Boulevard was blocked following the accident, while southbound traffic appeared to be unaffected.

Car & AAA Tow Truck Collide In Delaware County: 1 Killed, 2 Injured

One person was killed and two others were injured when a car and AAA tow truck collided in Delaware County in the early hours of Saturday, January 6. The accident happened at the intersection of Township Line Road and Lansdowne Avenue in Upper Darby at around 1:30 a.m.

The two vehicles collided, spun out, and then struck each other a second time.

One person in the car died in the accident, while two others who were involved in the crash were brought to the hospital for injury treatment.

1 Dead, 1 Injured After Car Crashes Into SEPTA Train

One woman was killed and a second injured when their vehicle crashed into a SEPTA train in Lower Moreland, Montgomery County on Thursday, January 4. The two women were in an SUV on the 300 block of Red Lion Road at around 9:40 a.m. when the accident occurred.

The driver was unable to stop while traveling downhill during a snowstorm and accidentally slid onto the tracks. The vehicle crashed through the gate and struck the train as it was traveling southbound.

The driver was able to exit the vehicle right before it struck the train, but the passenger was unable to get out in time. The passenger was ejected and onto the tracks, where she was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver was treated for minor injuries.

Police believe that snowy conditions played a role in causing the accident.

5-Vehicle Accident Backs Up Traffic On PA Turnpike

An accident involving at least 5 vehicles shut down westbound traffic on the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Bucks County on the morning of Wednesday, January 10. The accident happened around 7:15 a.m. in Bensalem, during the morning commute. Traffic was backed up and there were major delays as a result of the accident.

At least one vehicle was overturned in the accident. Officials were allowing one lane of traffic to pass by the accident by 7:50 a.m. By about 8:30 a.m., all lanes were reopened.

MEET OUR MANAGING PARTNER: BRIAN MITTMAN

“I have been working since I was 14. I have probably held at least two dozen different jobs and I’ve seen people injured and hurt. One of the reasons I got involved with disability law is that I have a very good family friend who has been disabled his entire life, and I’ve seen how he’s struggled in order to keep working and try to work. When I was presented with the opportunity to get involved with what’s called “disability law,” I was really thrilled to be able to not only practice being an attorney, but helping other people who really need to know things about what their choices are, what they can do, and what their future may hold.

I am originally from Maple Glen, PA and is a life-long Eagles fan.

I have focused on helping individuals with their workers’ compensation, social security disability and long-term disability claims, as well as obtaining financial security for individuals who have had accidents.

As part of helping workers’ and their families, I have also been active in teaching continuing legal education courses to other attorneys, provide free seminars and webinars to the public on how to protect their rights, and I am active in various organizations such as the National Organization of Social Security Claims Representatives, the Injured Workers’ Bar Association and the Workers’ Injury Law & Advocacy Group.”
